Leo Lawyer, the principal of Neah-Kah-Nie Middle School, has accepted a principal of Cleveland High School position for Portland Public Schools. Lawyer was the NKN High School athletic director for two years and served as the NKN Middle School principal for seven years.
The Neah-Kah-Nie School District is excited for Lawyer as he transitions to a high school leadership role. The school district thanks him for his many years of outstanding service to the school district and community.
Lori Dilbeck is the new NKN principal and has 25 years of successful educator experience. She served as the Tri City Elementary principal, for the South Umpqua School District, from 2015-2019. Dilbeck was an outstanding NKN School District classroom teacher and literary coach for 17 years. She earned her Oregon Initial Administrator License from Portland State University. She also has a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education.
As an instructional leader, Lori believes, “Building leadership capacity at Neah-Ka-Nie Middle School is the key to increasing academic achievement.”
