Manzanita

Thursday, July 4

• 8-11:30 am– Annual 4th of July Pancake Breakfast from at 5th & Laneda Ave

• 1 p.m. – Fourth of July Parade. This year’s theme is “Sweet Land of Liberty”.

Saturday, July 6

• 9 a.m.-12 p.m. – Neahkahnie Beach Walk & BioBlitz

• 4-6 p.m. – Wheeler Community Picnic at Wheeler’s Upper Park. Pet friendly. Hot dogs and ice cream will be provided. Games and prizes.

Nehalem

Thursday, July 4

• 1-5 p.m. – Rock N’ Roll BBQ at Nehalem Bay Winery. Seymour the Band will perform with vocalist Carlee Smith.

Saturday, July 6

• Need time – The Day of Cosmic Confluence at Nehalem Bay Winery.

Saturday, July 6- Sunday, July 7

• 7 p.m. on Saturday, 2 p.m. on Sunday – “War of the Worlds” performed by the Riverbend Players at the NCRD Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $14 online and $17 at the door.

Cannon Beach

Wednesday, July 3 to Thursday, July 4

• 8-10:30 a.m. – Great Puffin Watch near Haystack Rock

Thursday, July 4

• 11 a.m. – Independence Day parade. Register at the American Legion at 9 am for face paint and patriotic hats

• 1 p.m. – Hot dogs, tours, and kids’ activities at the fire department

• 5-8 p.m. – Oyster Feed at the American Legion. $17 for adults, $10 for children under 10 years old. This local feed has been a tradition since the 1940’s.

Thursday, July 4 until Sunday, July 7

• 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. – Annual bargain book sale at the Cannon Beach Library. Thousands of books.

Friday, July 5 and Saturday, July 6

• 7:30 p.m. – Coaster Theatre Playhouse plays. “And Then There Were None” will be performed on Friday. “Nunsense” will be performed on Saturday. Both shows begin at 7:30 p.m.

Seaside

Wednesday, July 3

• 2-6 p.m. – Seaside Farmer’s Market. Located in the Broadway Middle School parking lot, on Highway 101 (Roosevelt Dr.). Several other booths will be there, including produce, art, handmade arts and crafts. Live music and a food court will also be available.

Thursday, July 4

• 11 a.m.- 3 p.m. – Old Fashioned Social located on grounds of Seaside Historical Society Museum. Live music will play from the Butterfield Cottage. Games will be conducted on the grounds of the museum. The games are nonstop and include a cakewalk, silent auction, face painting, bingo, bean bag toss, fish for prizes, and a duck pond. Tickets for cakewalk and bingo are $1. Tickets for the other games are $0.50 each or 3/$1. A prize table will be available where tickets can be traded for prizes. Bidding closes at 2 pm for the silent auction so that the winner can be announced by the end of the Social. Food will be sold, mainly by local non-profit groups. There will be hamburgers, hot dogs, clam chowder, crab cakes, puff pastry hand pies, dessert pie, and beverages. This event has been hosted by the Seaside Museum for over 30 years and it has been a tradition for locals and visitors ever since.

• 11 a.m.- 12 p.m. – Fourth of July Parade. Route is from 12th Ave heading south on Holladay, turning west on to Broadway, and then north on Columbia, east on 1st, and finishing on Necanicum Dr.

• 10 p.m. or dusk – Fourth of July Fireworks Celebration, one of the largest fireworks show on the West Coast, with a 25-minute extravaganza timed to music (tune your radio to KSWB 840 am for synchronized music) down at the Seaside Beach. Starts at dusk, at about 10 pm.

Friday, July 5

• 8 a.m. – Treasure the Beach Cleanup. Volunteers meet on the Prom and are supplied with bags and gloves. Parking is available along Broadway, in the public parking garage on Avenue A, and the public parking lot on 1st Avenue, as well as along city streets.

Saturday, July 6

• 5-7 p.m. – First Saturday Art Walk. The free event takes place between Holladay Drive and Broadway Street in the Historic Gilbert District downtown.

Gearhart

Thursday, July 4

• 11 a.m. – Old-Fashioned Fourth of July Parade.

Warrenton

Thursday, July 4

• 11 a.m.-3 p.m. – Classic car show and motorcycle tailgate party at Robinson Community Park

• 12-3 p.m. – Kids’ activities at the decoration station in the gravel lot next to the Warrenton Fire Station

• 12-3 p.m. – Free firefighters barbeque, sponsored by the Warrenton Volunteer Firefighters Association, at the fire station.

• 3 p.m. – Old-fashioned 4th of July Parade. Runs down Main Avenue from the post office to Ninth Street, and then turns west on to Warrenton Grade School. This year’s theme is “Main Street USA”.

Astoria

Wednesday, July 3

• 7 p.m. – “Spirit of Adventure” at the Liberty Theater. Free concert. Andy and Rachel Becker will return by popular demand.

• 7 p.m. – Trivia at The Merry Time Bar. $2 per person with pot of cash paid out to winning team. Teams of 1-6 compete for cash and prizes by answering trivia questions. 21 and over.

Thursday, July 4

• Dusk – Fourth of July fireworks show over the Columbia River. The show will be launched from a barge in the river. Display will begin at dusk. Bring blankets, chairs, and jackets. Organized by the Astoria-Warrenton Area Chamber of Commerce.

Sunday, July 7

• 8-10 p.m. – Sunday Night Music upstairs at Fort George Brewery. No cover charge. Wood-fired menu featuring pizza and more.
