Tillamook puts a damper on Lady Pirates’ opener

Neah-Kah-Nie braved the rain and chilly coastal breeze during their first game of the 2019 season on March 11.
In a county match up between the 4A Cheesemakers and the 2A Pirates, NKN was in for a challenge. During the first inning, the Lady Mooks warmed up their bats and ran wild around the bases to tally 12 first inning runs, while the Pirates weren’t able to get anything going offensively all afternoon. The game ended in a 33-0 victory for Tillamook in five innings of play.
The Pirates will look to get back on track when they travel to Waldport to face the Irish on Friday, with the game starting at 4 p.m.
