To set the highest standards in school transportation, Rockaway Beach First Student continually renews their dedication to safety, including zero unattended children left on buses, zero collisions in at least the last 1.8 million miles driven, zero workplace injuries, and 100 percent pre-trip inspection performance. Operationally, the location boasts top five nationwide rankings for school arrival performance and other key metrics.
Furthermore, Technician In-Charge Dave Carroll is recognized for exemplary maintenance of the fleet of school buses, earning Gold-Wrench status and ASE Blue Seal certifications for the prior two years. Additionally, in Carroll’s tenure with First Student, there have been zero towing expenses incurred.
Carroll will travel to Cincinnati, Ohio in May 2019 to attend an awards banquet as a finalist for national recognition as a top mechanic in his field.
