Eugene Schmuck Foundation has big plans for 2019

The Eugene Schmuck Foundation (ESF) is entering its 21st year.
Founded in 1997, it has contributed over 1.3 million dollars to the North Tillamook County community. They would like to thank all those who have participated in the past, and hope you will come join us again. The ESF board would also like to express our gratitude to all of you who have been sponsors, donors and volunteers throughout the years.
This year as they enter 2019, they have inaugurated a website, eugeneschmuckfoundation.org, which will have all the information about sponsoring, donating, upcoming events, checking tee times for the annual golf tournament, who we are, who benefits and other interesting items.
ESF’s first event for 2019 will be a spaghetti feed fundraiser on Thursday, January 17, from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.. Dinner is hosted by the Big Wave Café located at the corner of 101 and Laneda in Manzanita. Tickets are $15 per person and can be purchased from any board member, online, or at the door.
Following the spaghetti feed the ESF is beginning registrations on February 1 for the annual Manzanita Open Golf Tournament. The format is a 4 player scramble, 9 holes, and the cost is $50 per player per round.
Tee times can be viewed online but your request must be made by mailing to PO Box 58, Manzanita, OR 97130, emailing to ESFfoundation@yahoo.com, or by calling Bob Joseph at 503-368-3187 or Dave Matthews at 503-739-0909. We will try our best to accommodate your request and notify you in a timely manner.
This year we are planning to host a Horse Race/Shootout on Thursday, May 16, before the official Manzanita Open begins. It will be limited to the first 30 people that sign up. The cost will be $50 and will include green fees, prizes and a small donation to ESF. Sign-ups are the same as for tee times.
