Happy Thanksgiving!

Pre-Gobble Wobble – 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at the Tillamook YMCA. Come join us for a great holiday circuit/station workout. The class is free to everyone, so bring your family and friends. (Donations accepted) We will be giving away two turkeys. The rest of the Y will be closed. We will only be opening the gym for this class.

Thanksgiving Dinner Benefit – 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Schooner Restaurant and Lounge and the Upstairs Bar and Grill, both in Netarts. They will be hosting the annual Thanksgiving Dinner Benefit complete with locally raised turkey, all the trimmings and dessert to support Oregon Food Bank – Tillamook County Services. The meal is open to everybody and is completely donation-based. For those unable to pay, the dinner is completely free and nobody will be turned away. Friday, Nov. 23

Open House and Gift Shop Sale – 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Garibaldi Maritime Museum. They will be holding their “Open House” and big sale of 25 percent off all items in the Gift Shop. If you bring in a non-perishable food item, to help the Garibaldi Lion’s Club Christmas Baskets, admission is free. There will be raffle items and refreshments. Children can color a stocking or work on an easy ornament project. Check out our new “Nautical” and Hand Painted Garibaldi Ornaments.

Plaid Friday – 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. in Manzanita. Plaid Friday is the relaxing and enjoyable alternative to the big box store “Black Friday,” and is designed to promote both local and independently owned businesses during the holidays. Look for the Plaid Friday poster in merchant’s windows and enjoy a fun day of holiday shopping and fantastic deals in downtown Manzanita.
