The Lady Pirates traveled to Cloverdale Sept. 25 to battle cross-county rival Nestucca for the second time this season. Neah-Kah-Nie fell victim to a Bobcat sweep once again but it was not for lack of trying.
The Pirates battled with the 10-4 overall Lady Cats in the first two sets, but came out on the wrong side of a 25-19 margin each time. The Bobcats used that momentum to power through the final set with a score of 25-11.
The lose drops the Lady Pirates’ record down to 2-8 overall and 1-5 in league play.
Although they have faced a tough league schedule, the Pirates will get a break when they face a struggling Faith Bible team Oct. 2 at home.
