Lady Pirates pruned by Knappa Loggers

For Knappa, it was home game, even though it was being played in Rockaway Beach Tuesday.

It still didn’t matter as the Lady Loggers were able to leave the city with a 7-2 victory.
The Loggers got a big boost from a walk, double and error in the second inning.
Madelyn Weaver got the win for the visiting Loggers after pitching a seven innings. She struck out five batters.
Hannah Grider went six innings for rhe Pirates and struck out one.
Avery Smith and Winter Eastin both got two hits in the loss, while Smith finished with one RBI.
The two teams will meet again Friday at 3 p.m. on the Neah-Kah-Nie softball field.
The game Tuesday was the first Northwest League contest for both schools.
The Lady Pirates fell to 2-3 overall.
