A post-election community healing and sharing circle is scheduled at North Fork 53 in Nehalem tonight (Nov. 10) at 7 p.m.
Ginger and Brigham Edwards said they are hosting a healing, grieving, sharing circle for anyone in who needs it after the general election results.
“We want to create a safe space for people to speak about what this election means to them, to receive support and healing and to feel strength and love in our community here on the coast,” the couple wrote in a post on the North Coast BBQ. “This is not against anyone who did vote for Trump but we feel that many of us need to gather right now to hold each other up in what is a traumatic experience for those of us whose values do not support what Trump stands for.”
Participants are encouraged to bring a snack to share if possible. Herbal tea for trauma relief and heart strengthening garden items will be available.
North Fork 53 is located at 77282 Highway 53, in Nehalem, between mile markers 11 and 12. Turn on Bridge Lane right after the county line and look for the red house along the river.
The Edwards said there will be lights on the porch and on the tree to mark the way. Attendees are asked to park in the lot by the big red barn.
