A weekly SMART Recovery meeting will be held at the NCRD every Tuesday at 7pm in the Riverbend Room.
SMART Recovery is a non-religion based self help program that teaches empowering techniques to aid recovery from any addictive behavior (alcohol, drugs, food, work, exercise, etc.).
SMART believes people are not powerless to overcome their addictive behaviors and uses scientifically proven methods to overcome addiction. Cross talk among group members is encouraged to create a supportive environment.
There is no charge for the classes. Donations are accepted for the non-profit organization with volunteer facilitators. The meeting facilitator is a healthcare professional with a background in pharmacology, natural healing techniques, mind-body medicine and exercise physiology.
