A free collection event for agricultural and commercial pesticides and empty containers is being hosted by the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality, Oregon Department of Agriculture, Oregon Department of Forestry and OSU Extension on Saturday, Oct. 22, at the Tillamook Transfer Station Hazardous Waste Facility, 1315 Ekloff Rd., Tillamook.
This collection is for agriculture, forestry and other commercial waste pesticides in the Northwest region. Businesses and agencies from Tillamook, Lincoln, Columbia and Clatsop counties are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity.
Registration is required. Registration forms can be obtained from OSU Extension at extension.oregonstate.edu/Tillamook or from Tillamook County Solid Waste at www.co.tillamook.or.us/gov/SolidWaste. The registration deadline is October 17th.
