Bay City Arts Center happenings…

Upcoming events at the Bay City Arts Center:

Month of October: Join the BCAC in welcoming local artists Eric Sappington & Jarett Juarez. Jarett will feature a variety of photographs from destinations throughout the Oregon Coast. Eric will feature his latest collection of work in which he utilizes air to paint with latex on plywood. The show will be on display throughout the month and is open during events and regular office hours Tues – Thurs 9:30am – 3:30pm or by special appointment.

October 26: The BCAC will host a 2 hour In-service Fall themed art class for youth ages 5 – 7 years old. The class runs from 12:30pm – 2:30pm; cost is $5 per participant. Pre-registration for the class is required. Please contact the BCAC to register as space is limited.

October 29: The BCAC presents “Shakespeare By the Bay.” This is a 6-week Shakespeare course. The Course begins on Oct. 29th and will run for 6 consecutive weeks meeting at the BCAC from 10am – Noon each of the Saturdays. The course will focus on the following plays: The Tempest, Antony & Cleopatra, and Hamlet. The course is $20 for general registration and $15 for BCAC members. The class does have limited enrollment, and registration is required. For more info or to register contact the BCAC office at (503) 377-9620.

December 3: Save the date for the BCAC annual dinner and silent auction event. This year we will host a “Holiday Lazagna-thon.” The event runs from 6pm – 9pm with dinner, live music, silent auction and family fun all included!!! General Admission is $25, BCAC member admission is $20 and youth 12 and under are $10. There are only 60 seats available, so get your tickets today! For more info contact the BCAC office. Ongoing Events:

3rd Sunday of the Month: Join the BCAC for an all you can eat Pancake Breakfast! Enjoy pancakes, sausage, veggie sausage, and Charlie’s famous baked beans! This is a family friendly event where you can enjoy great food, and the company of friends. Pancake Breakfast is every 3rd Sunday of the month from 8am – Noon.

Members Wanted: The Bay City Arts Center is kicking off our annual membership drive. Become a member now for a low annual rate of $50 for a family, $20 for an individual and only $10 for Students/seniors. Membership not only helps to support ongoing arts programs at the BCAC, but also gets you discounted admission to BCAC sponsored events, event updates via e-mail, annual meeting invite and much more! Join today by stopping into our office, attending an event, or signing up online.

Attention Artists: We are looking for interested individuals to participate in the BCAC Artist of the month program. Interested artists should contact Leeauna Perry in the BCAC office at (503) 377-9620. Selected artists will be featured for a month during the calendar year. This is a great way to get your art featured, and generate some art sales!!
