Friends of NCRD raise money for scholarships with flowers

Do you have an upcoming special occasion…a birthday, anniversary, wedding, special guests at your Inn? Maybe you have a sick friend who can use some cheering.

The Friends of the North County Recreation District (NCRD) are selling fresh picked Dahlia bouquets all summer long at the “Little Apple” parking lot every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 9 a.m. to noon.

We offer vases too if needed and reasonable prices. Thanks to our friends Colleen Riggs and Patty Rinehart who donate the flowers; a huge thanks also to Chung and Judy Lee who have generously allowed us to use their parking lot for the past three years. You can buy at our booth or place a big order two days in advance with Patty Rinehart at 503-801-3534. The Friends of NCRD is the non-profit arm of the North County Recreation District and funds raised on the flower sales go toward scholarships for adults and youth in our community.

Anyone interested in becoming a member of Friends of NCRD can contact Linda Makohon at 503-368- 5764.
