Pirates ground Falcons for first NWL win, host Faith Friday

Neah-Kah-Nie picked up its first Northwest League baseball win Tuesday, knocking off Faith Bible on the road by a 3-1 margin.


The Falcons will fly into Rockaway Beach Friday for a doubleheader with the Pirates. The first game will start at 3 p.m.

The win gives the Pirates a 1-3 record in league after losing three straight games to the defending state 2A champions from Knappa.

Knappa and Vernonia both have perfect 4-0 record to lead the league, while Gaston is third with a 3-1 mark.

Faith Bible, Nestucca and Delphian have not won a league contest, with the Dragons at 0-4.
