That’s right, this fantastic event is back, and it’s going to be as amazing as ever. Presented once again by Food Roots and White Clover Grange, this will feature the traditional pie auction, an afternoon of entertainment, and an all-you-can-eat pie and ice cream feast. All this for just $10 ($5 for kids 12 and under.)
You won’t want to miss this! The incredible Susan Tone is returning for a second year of auctioneer duties, and is sure to regale us with her usual wit and verve. Megan “Liz” Cole will be wowing us with an undoubtedly thrilling 2016 rendition of her famous “Ode to Pie.” And, of course, pie and ice cream to top it all off!
How many pies will be at this event? That’s a proprietary secret. But it’s going to be a ridiculous number. Fruit pies, custard pies, savory pies, vegan pies, gluten-free pies, maybe we’ll even sneak in a chicken pot pie! Who knows? (Chicken pot pie not guaranteed.)
It all takes place on National Pie Day: Saturday, January 23rd, from 2:30 to 4:30pm at the White Clover Grange (36585 Highway 53.) There’s nothing better to get you through a winter’s afternoon than bidding on a delicious, locally made pie and then celebrating by eating as much pie and ice cream as you can handle, all while supporting two great organizations: Food Roots and the White Clover Grange.
Mark your calendars! We’ll see you on National Pie Day
