The Nehalem Bay Medical Reserve Corp (MRC) and the Emergency Volunteer Corp (EVC) is presenting a course in Wilderness First Aid . It will be held at Fire Station 13 in Nehalem on Saturday Nov 7 and Sunday Nov 8 from 9am to 5:30 pm. The course is being taught by the well know, highly regarded, Emergency Responder and Wilderness Adventurer- Harold Crawford. Below is the information on how to register. This is an advanced first aid class for those who may have to give care to family and friends when help is not coming soon.
If a medical emergency occurs at the scene of a natural disaster or during a backcountry hike, you may be on your own for a while and need to know what to do.
This class prepares you with the knowledge and skills to cope with this difficult situation.
Your instructor is a Wilderness EMT with extensive experience in outdoor medical care.
