The annual Tools for Schools program was created for families that, without this support could not purchase these items without adding to an already over-burdened household budget.
If you are one of these families, please have you and your child pick up a voucher at their school upon registration in August for the coming year. This voucher system is new and has impacted each school district differently.
If you need assistance in helping your child with their school supply needs, this is how each school district will be handled.
For the Tillamook School District, every child must register for the upcoming year. At registration let them know you need help with your child’s school supply needs. At this time you will be asked to put your name, child’s name, grade and school on an application. You will then be given a voucher which you will need when you pick up your backpack at the Sacred Heart Gym at 2405 5th Street in Tillamook on either Saturday Aug. 20 between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. or Monday, Aug. 22 between 2 to 6 p.m. Must obtain a voucher for each child.
For the Neah-Kah-Nie School District, every child does not have to register, only new students. Students will need to go to their school during registration and let them know they need help with school supply needs. No application, a will voucher will be given, which is needed to pick up backpack at the Garibaldi Library at 107 Sixth Street on Saturday Aug. 20 between 2 to 5 p.m. Must obtain a voucher for each child.
For the Nestucca School District, every child does not have to register, only new students. You will still need to go to your school during registration and let them know you need help with your child’s school supply needs.
