Daily 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. until July 5 in the Little Apple Grocery parking lot at 193 Laneda Avenue. Proceeds will benefit the Emergency Volunteer Corps of Nehalem Bay and the Rinehart Clinic in Wheeler.

– Local History Classes

– Fifth annual Pirate and costume festival
All day at the Ocean’s Edge wayside in Rockaway Beach. There will be roving pirates, cannons firing pirate music and festival rides at the fifth annual Rockaway Beach Pirate Festival. Mike “Buster” Bednarek tours throughout the Pacific Northwest with his zany mix of physical comedy, balance, and illusions called Buster’s Red Nose Revue. This is a free event. Fridays 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Cascade Sotheby’s Realty Parking Lot, 467 Laneda Ave (intersection of Laneda Avenue and Fifth Street) in Manzanita. The market will feature the freshest locally grown produce and flowers and many wonderfully unique handmade products. There is also live music! Participants may bring their own ukulele or use one of 30 provided. Classes will be taught by Ukulele Professionals, Kate Power & Steve Einhorn. This is a free event. 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Old Fire Hall on Laneda Avenue and Fifth Street in Manzanita. Bring your friends or make new ones while enjoying a hot breakfast in support of the Neah-Kah-Nie athletic teams.

– Fourth of July Parade
1 p.m. on Laneda and Manzanita Avenues in Manzanita. Celebrate the Fourth Of July in style with the best local parade on the Oregon Coast. The more, the merrier at our fun-filled hometown parade. From marching bands to giant crabs to dancing librarians, we have it all. For information on registration and guidelines, please visit the City of Manzanita. – Independence Day Celebration and BBQ

5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Pine Grove Community House on 225 Laneda Avenue in Manzanita. Come enjoy a tasty spaghetti dinner with meat or vegetarian sauce, bread, salad & cake.  Beverages include water, lemonade, or punch. All proceeds go to much-needed renovations for the Pine Grove Community House to help make it a more beautiful & safe place in our community for everyone  to meet, work, and play.
