TBCC offers food class – 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Pelican Pub & Brewery in Pacific City. ServSafe class can boost sanitation scores by getting employees to understand why and how to ensure that food is wholesome and is safe. ServSafe is like a Food Handler’s Card on steroids. It will give staff insight into reasons why people experience food borne illnesses, and scientific and practical ways to prevent them. There is a $73 fee per person to cover text books and testing.
