String players wanted for the North Oregon Coast Symphony

The North Oregon Coast Symphony (NOCS) is looking for string players! Do you play violin, viola, cello, or bass? NOCS is a local, non-profit organization of volunteer musicians dedicated to providing live classical music to the North Coast. Musicians come from a 100-mile span of the North Oregon and South Washington coast to rehearse and create live classical music for the community. The age range is from high school to adult, and playing ability from proficient to professional. Rehearsals take place in friendly and supportive environment, with an emphasis on enjoying the process of creating beautiful music.

A new concert season is underway, with rehearsals beginning Jan. 26. Rehearsals are held on Tuesday evenings at the Cannon Beach Community Church from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

If you are interested, join! It’s a wonderful experience to blend your musical voice with others and produce a sound that is greater than its parts.
