The OSU Extension/Oregon Family Nutrition Program invites students fourth grade and up and their parent or another adult (all children must be accompanied by an adult) to the “Cooking Matters” program.
The “Cooking Matters” class series will help children and parents learn how to cook nutritious, delicious food; work with new foods and try new recipes while having fun; and tips for wise shopping at the grocery store. Each family will be given groceries to make one of the dishes at home each week! Classroom size is limited 7 families on a first come, first serve basis.
The program will start in Tillamook on Monday, Feb. 22, 6-8 p.m. at Tillamook High School, 2605 12th St. on Monday evenings through April 4 excluding March 21.
The NKN program will start Wednesday, Feb.24, 6-8 p.m. at the Home Economics classroom, 25111 Hwy 101 No. in Rockaway and continue on Wednesday evenings through April 6, excluding Wednesday, March 23. There is no charge for this program, which is sponsored by the OSU Extension/Oregon Family Nutrition Program, the Oregon Regional Food Bank Nutrition Program and Operation Frontline.
